## What is VisitorCompanyFinder?

VisitorCompanyFinder shows B2B teams which companies visit their website, scores how ready each company is to buy, writes a short AI summary and opener, and sends alerts to Slack, Microsoft Teams or email.

## Is it really free?

Yes. Every feature is free and no card is needed. Paid data add-ons, when offered, are charged at our cost with no markup and never beyond prepaid credit.

## Where do company names come from?

From IP ranges matched to the organisation that owns the network. Today the app runs on demo IP data; licensed IP-to-company data is coming soon.

## Does it identify individual visitors?

No. It identifies the organisation behind a visit. People are recorded only when they tick a consent box on a form or chat on your site.

## Why are many visits unattributed?

People on home broadband, mobile data, cloud hosting or VPNs cannot be tied to a company by IP. The match-rate meter shows that share instead of guessing.

## How do I install it?

Paste one script tag before </head> on every page, or add it in Google Tag Manager. The tag with your site key is under Settings, Sites & pixel.

## Is it GDPR compliant?

Strict mode stores nothing on the visitor's device before consent and keeps everything company-level. Raw IP addresses are never stored. You remain the controller and need a privacy notice; a template is in the app.

## Does it work with India's DPDP Act?

Use strict mode with your consent banner for Indian audiences. Access, withdraw-consent and erase requests are built in.

## What is the intent score?

A 0–100 score per company from page views, hot pages, engaged time, return visits, AI-search arrivals and opted-in form fills. It halves every 14 days without new activity. 60 or more is hot.

## What does the AI write?

A short summary of what the company seems to evaluate and one opener line. The opener never mentions website visits or tracking. It runs on Surge's own model; Claude is only a fallback.

## Which alerts are supported?

Slack, Microsoft Teams and email, with rules for minimum score, ICP fit, page and cooldown, plus a daily or weekly digest. WhatsApp alerts are coming soon.

## Which CRMs can it sync to?

HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM (including the India data centre) and Pipedrive, using an API token you paste. One-click connect is coming soon.

## Can I send accounts to other tools?

Yes, through signed webhooks, the REST API, CSV export, or the built-in cold-email tool pairing.

## What is AI-search intent?

Visits that arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and similar assistants, with their own report and alert rule.

## How many websites can I track?

Up to 25 sites per workspace, and you can invite your team.

## How do I delete someone's data?

Run an erase request with their email under Privacy & consent, or use the data-subject API.

## I forgot my password.

Use Forgot password on the log-in page. The emailed link works once and expires in 30 minutes.

## Who makes it?
